Guardians’ Deadline Splash with Jo Adell | Cleveland Guardians News

The Guardians just pulled off a blockbuster trade deadline move, landing superstar outfielder Jo Adell in a steal-for-minor-leaguer deal. Adell, who blasted 37 homers and 98 RBIs last year, is still delivering with 16 homers and 62 RBIs this season — and he’s ready to ignite the clubhouse. They also added first baseman Nathaniel Lowe and pitcher Foster Griffin, while sending David Fry and Kyle Manzardo down to Triple-A. With playoff energy already buzzing, Adell’s power and leadership could be the spark that lifts Cleveland back into AL Central contention.
