Guardians End Losing Streak with Thriller | Cleveland Guardians News

The Guardians snapped their five-game skid with a dramatic 6-5 win over the Reds, thanks to Brayan Rocchio’s clutch squeeze bunt in the 8th inning. Kyle Manzardo’s early grand slam gave Cleveland a 4-0 lead, but the Reds battled back with a 4-run 4th to take a 5-4 edge. Jose Ramirez tied it with a single, then scored on a steal of 2nd and 3rd. Cade Smith locked it down with his 30th save, and Angel Martinez made a jaw-dropping diving catch to seal it. With Gavin Williams set to pitch in Game 2, the Guardians are riding a wave of momentum after a gritty, nail-biting victory.
