Guardians' Key Players Hurt | Cleveland Guardians News

Guardians’ top offensive weapon Chase DeLauter is sidelined with a sprained wrist, forcing him out of Friday’s game and raising alarms as the team races toward the Wild Card cutoff. Already vital to Cleveland’s playoff push — leading the team in doubles and powering their offense — DeLauter’s absence looms large with just three weeks left in the season. His careful workload management has kept past injuries at bay, but this latest setback could be costly. Meanwhile, pitcher Colin Holderman adds to the roster woes with right wrist inflammation, placed on the IL after managing it for months, hoping to return before the regular season ends. With both key players sidelined, the Guardians face mounting pressure as they fight to hold onto the final AL Wild Card spot.
