Guardians Lock In Big Arm Liam Peterson | Cleveland Guardians News

The Guardians just locked in their biggest draft steal yet: 6’5”, 225-pound righty Liam Peterson, the 19th overall pick from Florida, signed for a full $4.535M. With a 99 mph fastball and nasty secondary stuff, he’s the latest in a growing army of towering arms they’ve drafted — including Schmidt, Sims, Scott, and Pesca — all over 6’4”. While they say the trend was accidental, the results speak for themselves: they’re building a rotation of pitching giants, and Peterson’s signing signals their serious commitment to dominating the future with elite arm talent.
