The Sovereigns don’t exist in the comics.  Ego the living planet isn’t Peter Quill’s father and isn’t a Celestial. Mantis was trained in martial arts by the Kree who thought she would become the Celestial Madonna. Yondu is a Centaurian. Yondu's "whistle arrow" is not in the comics.  He was in the original Guardians of the Galaxy. You can see why he’s called Taserface in the comics. Also, he’s ridiculous. The original Guardians of the Galaxy was Vance Astro, Martinex T'Naga, Captain Charlie-27, and Yondu Udonta. Later members included Stakar Ogord, Aleta Ogord, and Nikki. Adam Warlock played a key role in defeating Thanos in the comics. Not sure what Marvel plans to do with him at this point, if anything.
