Guardians' Offense Stalls Division Race | Cleveland Guardians News

The Guardians are hot on the heels of the AL Central lead, just three games back with 22 to play — but their offense is in crisis. With a stellar 3.70 ERA and solid pitching from guys like Gavin Williams and Parker Messick, they’ve got the arm strength to compete. Yet, they’re dead last in homers (under one per game) and 28th in runs scored — a glaring gap that’s been fueled by Jose Ramirez’s injury and diminished output since returning. Even without him at full strength, the rest of the lineup hasn’t stepped up enough to offset the damage. While the White Sox have outscored them by nearly 100 runs this season, Cleveland’s pitching can’t carry them alone. If the bats don’t wake up soon, catching the division-leading Sox will be nearly impossible. Listen in comfort:Get a discount on a Soli Pillow: http://solipillow.com/discount/dnn.
