Guardians Rally from Four Down
from MLB Baseball News Today | 2 Min News | The Daily News Now!
The Guardians pulled off a stunning comeback, erasing a four-run deficit in the eighth to beat the Mariners 6-5 — their third win this season when trailing after seven. Chase DeLauter returned from injury with two hits and two RBIs, including a clutch two-run single, while Rhys Hoskins delivered the go-ahead double. The Mariners, despite scoring more than three runs for the first time in 14 games and three stolen bases by Victor Robles (a first since 2024), fell short in the ninth after a throwing error gave them runners at second and third — but Cade Smith locked it down for his 26th save. This win proves Cleveland can still compete without José Ramírez, setting the stage for a strong next series. Support the show: Get a discount at https://solipillow.com/discount/dnn.
