Guardians Shake Up Roster for Push | Cleveland Guardians News

The Guardians just flipped their script—big time. After Stephen Vogt made it clear they needed offense, Cleveland went all-in before the trade deadline, bringing in Jo Adell, Nathaniel Lowe, and Foster Griffin, on top of earlier moves for Craig Yoho and Blake Perkins. With a six-and-thirteen record since the All-Star break, the team couldn’t wait any longer. To make room, Kyle Manzardo and David Fry were sent down, Slade Cecconi shifted to the bullpen, and Gabriel Arias was DFA’d for top prospect Angel Genao, who blasted four hits in his debut. The front office is betting this roster overhaul can turn things around fast—Adell and Lowe aim to fix the bats, while Cecconi embraces his new role. President Chris Antonetti says they’re a better team now than they were ten days ago. The question? Can they win with this new look?
