Guardians Snap Skid with Grand Slam | Cleveland Guardians News

The Guardians roar back with a thrilling 6-5 win, fueled by Kyle Manzardo’s first-career grand slam in the first inning after a bases-loaded sequence that included a challenge and an error. Jose Ramirez steals two bases to tie the game, Chase DeLauter extends his 18-game hitting streak, and pitchers Franco Aleman and Cade Smith dominate early. A safety squeeze seals the win — and the momentum — as they eye the Ohio Cup. With Gavin Williams on the mound for Game 2 and a depleted bullpen, the Guardians must strike fast against a Reds’ bullpen that’s been heavily used. This win? A statement.
