Guardians vs Reds Weather Delay | Cleveland Guardians News

The Guardians and Reds’ crucial three-game Ohio Cup series got derailed by thunderstorms Monday night, forcing a weather delay as the grounds crew prepped the field and players waited. With the opener on hold, fans brace for a potential reschedule as the Guardians, clinging to playoff hopes with a 54-53 record, aim to break a five-game skid. Slade Cecconi (4-7, 4.60 ERA) takes the mound against Reds’ ace Chase Burns (12-1, 2.42 ERA), who’s been unstoppable this season. The Guardians’ lineup, featuring Steven Kwan, José Ramírez (back from injury), Chase DeLauter, and Travis Bazzana, hopes to reignite their offense after a strong recent stretch. If Monday’s game goes ahead, the rest of the series — Gavin Williams vs. Brady Singer on Tuesday, Joey Cantillo vs. Rhett Lowder on Wednesday — is set. All eyes are on the weather — and the Guardians’ ability to bounce back — to keep their postseason dreams alive. Listen in comfort:Get a discount on a Soli Pillow: http://solipillow.com/discount/dnn.
