Guardians vs Rockies in Denver | Cleveland Guardians News

The Guardians kick off a crucial three-game road series in Denver against the struggling Rockies, with lefty Joey Cantillo taking the mound tonight at 8:40 PM ET. Cleveland’s hot streak against the Giants is fading as they enter this trip amid a slump since the All-Star break — a chance to turn things around. The Rockies, reeling from injuries including star slugger Hunter Goodman and a six-loss skid in their last ten, are winless in their division race. Guardians’ pitching matchups Saturday (Tanner Bibee vs. Gabriel Hughes) and Sunday (Foster Griffin vs. Tomoyuki Sugano) favor Cleveland, who hold a 19-18 edge historically. With key players like Rhys Hoskins sidelined and outfielders Chase DeLauter and Jo Adell day-to-day, the Guardians must manage health while aiming to snap their losing streak before heading to Anaheim for a showdown with the Angels.
