Guatemala, Crossroads of the Venezuelan Exodus

For the past four months, Guatemala City has been a turbulent thoroughfare for thousands of Venezuelans on a threadbare quest not only north, but south, too. Discouraged by the violence of Mexican authorities and criminal groups and resigned to not making it to the United States after months of traveling, many remain in Central America while waiting for a way home.
