Welcome to the Tweet Trends podcast. Hey, Evette, what's trending today? Hey, I mean that's pay girl. And you are tuned in to Tweet Trends.

It's the quickest way to find out what's trending today. All right, well, somebody's having a birthday today. Let's find out. So let's get started.

If you took a guess and said that it was my birthday today, then you are absolutely, positively incorrect. It's not my birthday nor is it the birthday of anyone that I am related to, although if you went to my parents' house, you would think that I was related to this person. Who's having a birthday today? None other than a former president, Barack, who's saying Obama, yes.

President Obama is having a birthday today, and it's his 59th birthday. And I'm just like, oh my gosh, that is absolutely crazy, because he's the same age as my brother. Like, really? So Barack Obama could have been my brother.

How crazy is that? Like, I feel so presidential already. But I'm like so excited about the fact that today is his birthday. And when I went on Twitter, there were so many people that were giving him props and saying like, he was the absolute best president ever.

And from my recollection of presidents, and now, mind you, I'm not a political type. I don't keep up with that sort of stuff. I probably should. It's probably very irresponsible of me to not keep up with that.

But from the time that I was born, until now, the first two presidents, I didn't have enough years under my belt to even remember them. But the first president that I remember, and I was a kid, I don't remember a bunch about him, but it was President Carter. And I remember that he liked peanuts. I don't know, was he a peanut farmer or something?

It was something about him in peanuts that is ringing a bell. But that's about the extent that I knew about Carter. And then of course, there was Reagan, George H.W. Bush, Bill Clinton, George W.

Bush, President Obama, and then 45, what we got going on now, our current situation. And out of all of them, I would have to rank President Obama at number one. I mean, I don't know about you and your rankings, but as for me and my house, we believe in Barack Obama. So with today being August 4th and being here on the East Coast.

And from what I gather, President Obama lives on the East Coast as well up in the Martha's Vineyard area. It's interesting to celebrate your birthday during a time of inclement weather. Now it's crazy because this once hurricane, now tropical storm, East ice, it's like how depressing must it be to have a birthday with not only a tropical storm coming through, but also the whole COVID situation, Black Lives Matter, it's a lot happening out in these streets right now. And I say that it's time to celebrate life.

I say go for it. Seriously, if you think about it, it's almost a blessing to have your birthday on a day when the weather is horrible. Why? Because there's less trouble to get into at home than what it is out there in these streets, seriously.

When your birthday rolls around and you're kind of like, oh, man, I hope we have good weather. I want to get out. I want to go places when I hang out with my buds and everything. And hanging out with friends, it's not always the best look.

Sometimes you need to stay a little A at home and get some rest and do stuff for you. Whatever happened to soak in your feet. And just kicking back with a nice little hard lemonade or something. And just chilling.

Because honestly, if you go outside right now, you look around and other than seeing tree parts in the streets, you had no idea that there was any type of storm that took place. Seriously, why? Because trouble doesn't last always. So even if your birthday falls on a day when things just aren't going right, guess what?

It's not going to stay that way forever. Pick your head up, put your shoulders back, put a smile on that face, and just realize that it's just a waiting game at this time. Give it some time and things are going to turn around. So in taking this time out to celebrate the 59th birthday of President Barack Hussein Obama, the first African-American president of the United States, you know that man that brought the inspiration and brought the pizzazz.

He swag is his middle name, I'm sure. So it's not just Barack Hussein Obama. It's Barack Hussein swagalicious Obama. He's got swag for days and days and days.

And so I'm still tripping though, because him and my brother are the same age. And I don't know big bro if you're listening. I hate to throw you under the bus, but Barack Obama has got you beat in the swag department. I'm going to need you to take some notes from him.

But you know, I sit and wonder sometimes, I know that celebrities and former presidents and stuff like that, they're all people. They put their pants on one leg at a time like the rest of us. But it's like I imagine that birthdays on that level are so just completely different from what we would experience ourselves, like definitely next level type celebrations. And so I wonder what he's doing today.

Like how does a former president spend his birthday, especially considering that a storm has gone through? So it's not like you could have planned to say go golfing or something like that because you'd be like, oh, the weather forecast is not going to call for. But at this point in time, if they're anything, well, you know what, they probably are still on the front side of the storm. So I imagine that he probably can't even really plan anything at this point.

But as soon as the storm passes over, like what does a president do for fun for their birthday? Do they hang out with their kids? Do they take the misses and go someplace cool and just hang out? Or do they just sit around at the house and be like, yep, I'm one more year older.

Got an extra year of swag under my belt and go from there. I don't know. I just wonder. All right.

Well, that was today's episode of Pleat Trends. I hope you enjoyed it. And go out there and do something to celebrate the president's birthday. I know you won't get to do it with him, but you get to do it just knowing that a great deal of the country is celebrating with you.

Oh, and I would be remiss if I did not mention the fact that Michelle Obama has a podcast. And it's called the Michelle Obama Podcast. It's just real creative. Didn't have to go far with that one.

But when you have a name like Michelle Obama, do you really need a catchy slogan? No, not hardly, not quite. So anyway, definitely check her out. You can find her on Spotify.

And I think you'll like it. I've listened to it already. And I'm a fan. So I'm putting that recommendation out to you.

And if you happen to check it out and listen and you decide you want to give me feedback, make sure that you tell them that you found out about it on Tweet Trends. Speaking of Tweet Trends, I don't know over the Twitter and follow me at hey, even if that's at H-E-Y-E-V-E-T-E or just look at the hashtag tweet trends. And I will see you right back here again on Thursday. Bye now.
