Angela Barbash is CEO of Revalue, an independent registered investmentadvisory firm founded in 2013, located in Ypsilanti, Michigan. Revalue is anemployee-owned Certified B Corporation® that provides fee-only financialplanning, public investment management, and community investment duediligence services designed for values-driven organizations and investors.Ms. Barbash has dedicated 18 years in service as a financial advisor in the MetroDetroit region and was named a 2018 Notable Woman in Finance in Michiganby Crain’s Detroit Business. She holds a Chartered Sustainable ResponsibleImpact Investing Counselor (CSRIC) designation, studied Cultural Anthropologyand History at Eastern Michigan University, and began her professional career atthe Michigan Small Business Development Center (MI-SBDC) before enteringthe financial services sector.Revalue is a founding member of United Way of Washtenaw County FinancialStability Coalition and the founding Board Chair of the National Coalition forCommunity Capital (NC3). Additionally, Ms. Barbash is active in variouseconomic development and entrepreneurship initiatives, including providingmentorship and guidance to entrepreneurs, apprenticing new financial advisors,assisting youth in her community, and contributing time to several pitchcompetitions. She is regarded as a subject matter expert on the topics ofcommunity capital, crowdfunding, local investing, impact investing, andcommunity-based investor education.Ms. Barbash, her husband Marshel and two children live with their extendedfamily in Southeast Michigan, where they practice permaculture andhomesteading skills while enjoying time outdoors as much as possible.
