Sheron Jones, president of the Southern Arizona Gold Star Mothers Incorporated, joined the program to share her experience as a Gold Star mother. Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth acknowledged that the previous administration's COVID-19 vaccine mandate for military personnel was unlawful. In his statement, Hegseth announced a memorandum directing the Under Secretary of Defense for Personnel and Readiness to provide additional guidance for reviewing cases of service members adversely impacted by the vaccine mandate.
