Guide Your Time

from The AJNashville Podcast · host Alex Jimenez

This is the week to show your gratitude and be filled with all there is to be thankful for in life. Is it the only week you should do this? Of course not. Maybe this week you do something more thoughtful for someone you adore, or maybe you need to take this time to be more selfish if you have been neglecting yourself being too busy as a people pleaser. As long as you remain thankful of all you already have and everything you have accomplished so far, you deserve to take these few precious days with your loved ones while you have them. Monday though, you need to get back to work. You can't let yourself relax until the new year and expect yourself to still start it on the winning foot. While you have this downtime, you can set yourself up for you future by beginning to project next year's goals and steps to meet them NOW. The more defined you get with your goals, the better you will be able to accomplish them to your satisfaction. How will you know when you have met your goals if you never take note of what that success looks like for you though? You have to have trackable metrics to know you are taking action and to know which actions help you to obtain your goal along the way. The way you measure your success is going to look different than other people's and that is perfectly okay--even normal--whatever that is. You have to set yourself up to have some sort of compass to know you are heading in the right direction. Give yourself clues or indicators along your path that guide your time spent on the actions you need to take to arrive where you want to be.Time keeps ticking. It's your choice if the change that happens from growth is external or internal. You have to do the hard things to keep both your body and your mind in the shape you want it to be in by knowing what that shape is you desire ahead of time. Start NOW by drawing that shape and discovering yourself within your guided goals.
