Guilt

The goal is to distinguish our true guilt before God (apart from Christ) from the guilt and condemnation the world, our hearts, and the enemy heaps upon us (vague, undefined, and unpardonable). The goal is to learn how to walk in the freedom we have in Christ. To be free from guilt, shame, and condemnation, we must start with our guilt before God, not our opinions, sentiments, and our culture. Only by being forgiven by God for sins named by God can we find justification and strength to refuse the malevolent voices of condemnation all around us.
