He has always maintained his innocence. Millions of people have signed petitions and the Innocence Project picked up Rodney's case in 2012, all whom believe he has been wrongfully convicted. They are pointing the finger at Stacey's then fiancee Jimmy Fennell, an ex-cop from Giddings, TX. He was living with Stacey at the time of her death, and was the last one to see her alive.
