Our guest today is Matt Salmon. Matt has previously served in both the Arizona State Senate and the U.S. House of Representatives, and now he is running for Governor of AZ. In his previous elected positions, he earned a reputation for standing on principle and challenging the status quo, ultimately becoming a co-founder of the conservative House Freedom Caucus alongside leaders like Jim Jordan, Ron DeSantis, Mark Meadows, and Mick Mulvaney. During his time in Congress, Matt earned awards for being a “Defender of Liberty,” for being the “Taxpayer Hero” from Citizens Against Government Waste. 1) In your previous offices you clearly distinguished yourself as a Representative of your constituents and you are skilled in the political arena. But, that arena is a lion’s den at best. What makes you want to jump back into it and run for Governor of AZ? 2) What makes you uniquely qualified to be one of the 50 United States Governors, and specifically the Governor of the great State of AZ? 3) You have served in AZ Government before both at the State and Federal levels. How did you use your previous roles to impact our 2A Rights? 4) Our current AZ Governor has been lukewarm at best about his support of our 2A Rights. What do our listeners need to know about your stance on our rights to keep and bear arms? 5) What are the key issues that you believe our next Arizona Governor will face?
