from Judge Mathis Podcast · host Telepictures

First, The plaintiff says she’s had nothing but problems since the defendant became her neighbor. She’s suing because she claims the defendant falsely accused her of pulling a gun on her daughter and jumped her. The defendant insists the plaintiff harassed them and pulled a gun, so they got a restraining order. She’s countersuing for lost wages, defamation, and emotional distress. Then, The plaintiff used to be a California Highway Patrol officer and then became a police officer. He says his whole life changed after he fatally shot someone in the line of duty. The plaintiff brings his now ex-girlfriend to court. They were living at an extended stay hotel and after an argument, he called the police on her. He claims she took his laptop, so he’s suing for the cost of a laptop. The defendant argues the plaintiff is verbally abusive and has drinking problems, but she admits she took the laptop. She’s countersuing for emotional distress. Lastly, The plaintiff used to work with the defendant, and they became friends. The plaintiff says she loaned the defendant money, but the defendant stopped paying and got fired.
