Guns And Wisdom

Truth & Knowledge – Episode 12: "Guns and Wisdom" In this episode, Trey Knowles explores the concept of guns through a spiritual lens, emphasizing that a gun is inherently a weapon of destruction, not a giver of life. Its purpose is to end existence through harm or force. Knowles challenges listeners to reflect on what they consider admirable and how those values align with a heart rooted in love. He argues that if one lives according to the Spirit of Love, a gun cannot be seen as admirable or praiseworthy. The desire for such a weapon contradicts the principles of love and peace. Referencing Matthew 10:28, Knowles reminds us to fear not those who can harm the body, but to revere God, who holds power over both body and soul. He further supports his message with teachings from Romans 12, urging listeners not to repay evil with evil but to live honorably and peacefully. Vengeance belongs to God, not man. Instead, we are called to respond to enemies with compassion—feeding the hungry, giving drink to the thirsty—and to overcome evil with good. The episode calls for a deep examination of how our values align with divine love and urges a rejection of violence in favor of peace and spiritual wisdom.
