Guntersville Delivers Dynamite Bass & Bluegill Action
from Lake Guntersville, Alabama Fishing Report Today · host Inception Point AI
# Lake Guntersville Fishing Report - June 6, 2025 Mornin' anglers! Artificial Lure here with your Friday fishing update for beautiful Lake Guntersville. We're looking at partly cloudy skies today with temperatures hitting the mid-80s by afternoon. Light winds from the southwest at 5-7 mph should keep the water surface just rippled enough to break up that harsh sun. Sunrise was at 5:32 AM, and we'll see sunset tonight at 7:58 PM, giving you plenty of daylight to get those lines wet. The bass fishing continues to be outstanding this week! Those big females have finished their post-spawn recovery and are aggressively feeding. What's really exciting is they're still hanging in transition zones between shallow and deep water rather than pushing all the way to summer ledges. This pattern has been consistent for the past week, creating multiple opportunities for anglers. The bluegill spawn is absolutely firing on all cylinders right now. With water temps holding steady in that perfect 73-76 degree range, those beds are active and the bass know it. This has created an ideal shallow-water opportunity, especially for those willing to keep moving and cover water. Last weekend's mayfly hatch is still influencing fish behavior, with surface activity remaining strong around low-hanging tree limbs and dock posts. Any time we get a bug hatch like that, the brim and bass follow close behind. For baits, spinnerbaits are thriving around bluegill beds and scattered grass lines. Soft plastics like Missile Bait D-Bombs and 48 stick baits are producing consistently. The Tight-Line jig bite has really picked up, especially around those bedding bluegill. If you're looking for a topwater bite, early morning and evening are your best bets. Hot spots this week include North Sauty Creek where the grass is maturing fast and that old-school blend of hydrilla and milfoil is holding fish. Brown's Creek has been particularly productive during mid-day, with bass suspending on the edge of creek channels. For crappie anglers, the Tennessee portion of the lake near the state line is producing nice catches where the water moves slower and there's more woody cover. The eelgrass is still around—frustrating at times when you're hauling in a pile of salad with your topwater—but it's keeping fish shallow and active. Thanks for tuning in to today's report. Don't forget to subscribe for daily updates on the best fishing Guntersville has to offer. This has been a quiet please production, for more check out quiet please dot ai.
