Isabella es la pequeña de cuatro años que sufre un cuadro de leucodistrofia metacromática, una enfermedad poco frecuente y requiere de un tratamiento muy costoso que hasta ahora no se realizaba en el país.  Si no se la trataba, la enfermedad iba a seguir avanzando sobre su sistema nervioso afectando funciones vitales.  Llevaba un año y medio en Brasil recibiendo un tratamiento experimental pero ayer regresó a Tandil junto a su familia.  El tratamiento podrá seguirlo en Argentina.  Su regreso marca un hito en la historia del tratamiento de esta enfermedad en el país porque su lucha abre una puerta cerrada a los pequeños que vienen detrás de Isabella. Gustavo Batista, su papá, contó en Radio Tandil lo que significó la vuelta al hogar después de un año y ocho meses.
