Episode 38 of the Gustavus Health Professions Podcast we speak with Gustavus graduate Class of 1991, Amy Pehrson, Director of the Community Engagement Center and Megan Ruble, Assistant Vice President for Student Life. Both are working with a team of students this year on voter engagement and on educating our campus community on the importance of mid-term elections and the importance of being an informed voter.  They share with us a  helpful resource site https://www.studentvoting.org/your-major-on-the-ballot.  In the pulldown menu there are categories related to healthcare and highlights the top 5 key issues as well as links to articles and information where you a learn more information.  The goal is to encourage our listeners to be informed and engaged in the voting process and get out there and vote! What's on the Election Day ballot on November 8, 2022? All voters will have these races on their general election ballot: U.S. Representative Governor & Lt. Governor Secretary of State State Auditor Attorney General State Senator State Representative Judicial seats Voters may have one or more of these races on their ballot: County Officials City Officers School Board Members Township Officers Local ballot questions
