Guy Lombardo and New Years Eve's of the Past

from The Baby Boomer Radio, TV, Movies, Magazines, Music, Comics, Fads, Toys, Fun, and More Show! · host Smitty, Mike, and Ian

Remember when New Year's Eve meant listening to Guy Lombardo and the Royal Canadians ringing in the New Year with "Auld Lang Syne"? On this edition of Galaxy Moonbeam Night Site, Smitty remembers the life of Guy Lombardo, and how he and the Royal Canadians became forever associated with New Year's Eve. For decades, millions listened in to welcome the New Year with Guy and the Orchestra playing from New York. Mike talks about Guy Lombardo's other careers as a champion speedboat racer and restaraunteur. Ian talks about words that describe the 1950's. Words that begin with the letter "T". Such words as Tumultuous, Tranquil, and Transition, just to name a few. Ian has a way with words, so listen to him describe the 50's in a novel way. Our Retro-Commercial is a great Winston Cigarette piece form the 1950's. Listen in to Galaxy Moonbeam Night Site.
