GUY MARKS as Humphrey Bogart, Gary Cooper HOW THE WEST WAS REALLY WON

from spookylorre

A classic, bizarre Guy Marks routine (beginning after a brief intro about TV in general), here's "HOW THE WEST WAS REALLY WON." It was released as a 45 rpm single, which rarely happened for comedy routines. Guy Marks did a perfect Humphrey Bogart impression (and played Bogie in "Train Ride to Hollywood"). He also sneaks in a sly Robert Mitchum take about smoking the peace pipe; back in 1966 most viewers probably didn't know that the actor often smoked marijuana. Bogart and Gary Cooper encounter an Indian Chief (back in the un-PC era) whose ambition is being a pop singer. For more info on Guy Marks' vinyl, check "Goldmine's Comedy Record Price Guide" by Ronald L. Smith.
