Send us Fan MailInfamous Lords and Masters of Shock Rock, GWAR, are celebrating the 36th anniversary of their landmark album Hell-O! with a spectacular reissue. This special edition, now available on blood-spattered clear vinyl, not only revives the seminal 1988 album but also includes expanded artwork and never-before-seen photos, including images from the original album release show in Richmond. The Hell-O! (36th Anniversary Edition) is available in limited runs of both CD and vinyl, exclusively through the band’s label, Pit Records. To commemorate this milestone, GWAR is also reprinting their iconic "GWAR Must Die" t-shirts, which gained fame during their early pillaging days. The current lead singer of GWAR, Blóthar the Berserker, formerly known as Beefcake the Mighty, shared his reflections on this momentous release: “It was the '80s. I was so young and scared. I will always remember wandering around the seedy sex arcades of Times Square, pants around my ankles, tears in my eyes… little did I know, I was working on the most important record in the history of shock rock. We were polishing a turd for the ages… we wanted to call it 'Beat the Meatles,' but the record company said no… and 'Hell-O' was born.”GWAR is currently in the midst of their "The Age of Entitlement" tour, which runs through September 20th. This tour features support from Latin American death metal pioneers Brujeria, the face-melting grindcore band BRAT, and folk-metal group The Native Howl. Blóthar commented on the tour: “This is an incredible time in the history of the world, so much death and destruction in the face of so much senseless entitlement and arrogant darkness. We cannot wait to shock some sense into humanity with the most outrageous performance of heavy metal theater ever to descend from the gods.”Following this tour, GWAR will embark on "The Stoned Age" tour starting October 17th in Las Vegas, NV, and concluding on November 20th in Nashville, TN. This leg of the tour will feature support from Black Metal royalty Dark Funeral, hardcore noise makers Squid Pisser, and Cancer Bats on select dates. Blóthar humorously added, “Get ready to mumble!!! On this tour we will CHRONIC-le the embarrassing loser takes all choice between a neurodivergent fascist and a desiccated mummy to be the leader of the free world. What could possibly go wrong?”In addition to their touring and reissue, GWAR made a record-breaking sixth appearance on the AV Club’s Undercover Series. Known for their unique takes on popular songs, GWAR covered the hit "I'm Just Ken" from the Barbie movie soundtrack, showcasing their unparalleled ability to reinterpret hits. “We’ve been fans of Ryan Gosling since the Mickey Mouse Club days, and like most terrifying inwww.BetterHelp.com/TheBarnhttp://www.betterhelp.com/TheBarn http://www.betterhelp.com/TheBarnThis episode is sponsored by www.betterhelp.com/TheBarn and brought to you as always by The Barn Media Group.
