H.E.A.R.T. is offering a pilot drop-off composting program for county residents. This program will reduce the amount of solid waste in landfills and provide useful materials for landscaping and agriculture. From November 1 – 8 the county will be holding a Pumpkin Composting Kickoff Event at both Henrico County Public Use Areas. Beginning November 9, compostable food waste can be dropped off at these same locations. So, listen and learn how composting can be beneficial for the community and the environment.
