thought that was just really impressive I can see the pride mark where if I was I was singing one of the people from here coming back and doing a thing so boxing has always been a really special sport there's a lot of history tied to his life history tied to it with with black athletes it was the first way that black athletes are able to see real wealth and an opportunity and they kind of spurned and grew into other sports because I saw that black people were elite athletes so I I said while while I was watching the Canelo fight that boxing is kind of wack and I was it was because I was I'm angry about because I think I've gotten worse over time the construct of how boxing matches are set up that the main event didn't start till one o'clock Eastern granite it was 12 o'clock in Houston but it don't fucking matter because it was my body say it was one o'clock I didn't know that wasn't there long enough to adjust the fight started one o'clock I'm exhausted and busy half watching the right nobody really ever watched those channels and tell the OJ car chase right because it was something that needed to be watched continuously so we didn't really watch that sort of stuff it was never really a thing right we missed the days where the news was really what you went to your living room with your mom and dad and Tom Brokaw would come out there and just tell you a thing that happened there was no political analysis there was no Republican there was no right there was no left it was I think a house in Israel just got bombed the house is no longer there it's completely gone we're gonna go to commercial we come back we'll do sports like that was the news right there wasn't a whole lot to go with it right and I think a lot of our generation looks at a lot of this news through that lens right like just give me the point like tell me what happened but now it's so much more and honestly so much less than what happened you know you can watch the news for six hours and it's like nobody has still told me what happened we're talking a lot about talking and feelings and politics and right and left traditionally those programs were on Saturday and Sunday right like political nerds watch that crossfire and the big shows at 9 a.m. in the morning on a news channel C span the rest of us are out playing ball and having a good time and nobody watched that shit but now that has become the mainstream program and that mainstream program is really what's whipping y'all into a frenzy it's like y'all aren't even consuming the news y'all don't even know what happened and I'm not saying that the shit on younger generations is just providing context and to understand that what you're consuming is not actually news it's not even actually information it's just emotion I'd love to talk to people I am and like this is really how this shit used to be like honestly I never knew Tom Brokaw's politics I never knew Dan Rather's politics I never knew Peter Jennings politics it was just white dudes that came on to a program and just told me the news until it was no longer they were no longer talking and then mash would come on like it was just a different time but I think it was a better time because it was more about information and less about feelings and less about emotions back then the money was in the news and in the information now it's in the emotion just something to think about when you're watching these channels what are they trying to extract from you and what are you trying to extract from them with all the respect without respect co-opin get the
