Donna, welcome. How are you? Donna: I'm good. How are you doing? Charlie James: I'm wonderful. How'd you vote today? Well, you don't have to tell me, but... but go ahead. Donna: Yes, I will. I voted for Ralph Norman. Charlie James: And how were... how were the lines? Donna: So, it was a steady stream. There wasn't a line. Not as many as I would like to see, but a lot more than there was the last early voting we had. Charlie James: Yeah. Okay, well, good. That's always good. I appreciate it, Donna. Now, one of the questions that came up about Darlene Graham was her relationship with Katrina Shealy, one of the... the sister senators down in Columbia that fought tooth and nail against all of the abortion bills that... that were put up in... in the House and the Senate. Um, and she was asked about that—about her relationship, because... well, let's go to Jackson Gosnell and... and talk to him, because Jackson, you were kind of on the forefront of this. You actually asked Darlene Graham this question. Welcome to the program. Hope you're doing well, young man. Jackson Gosnell: Thanks, Charlie. It's good to be with you. I appreciate it. Charlie James: So, you asked Darlene Graham, you were like, "Tell me about your relationship with Katrina Shealy." And we all know what she said. She said, "Well, uh, uh, I like her. I've never been to her house. She's a nice lady." But that kind of conflicts with some reported news that we heard about Katrina Shealy, right? Jackson Gosnell: That's exactly right. And I wanted to ask Darlene... I've been trying to interview her for your listeners that don't know. I'm a political commentator, but also an independent journalist based in the Upstate. And I... Darlene's team told me, you know, "We'll allow you to ask a question," but they wouldn't commit to giving me 10 to 15 minutes with her. So I wanted it to count. I wanted to ask about this Katrina Shealy issue. I did, and she said, "Oh, I haven't been to her house. She's a nice lady. I know her," but didn't really address it head-on. So yesterday, I went to Katrina Shealy. I called Katrina Shealy, and I said, "I got some questions for you." And to my surprise, she sat with me for 20 minutes and went over it all. Charlie James: So what did she say? Are they friends? Has Darlene Graham been over to her house and sat and drank wine and, uh, looked at the donkeys? Jackson Gosnell: Well, so, according to Katrina Shealy, she says it was more of a proposal. "Maybe one day you will come over to my house and have wine and... and, uh, talk to the donkeys." And so I said, "Well, Katrina, if the New York Times, PBS, whoever wrote this article, misattributed you and they misspoke, why haven't you retracted it?" And her response was that she doesn't watch herself on the news and doesn't read articles that she's in. So, I guess she has no interest in having it retracted. Charlie James: Well, there was another, uh, journalist out there that he went and he went to the reporters, and he said they are standing by their story of what she said. Jackson Gosnell: Interesting. Well, I mean, reporters do that. They keep tapes of their interviews with people.
