Charlie, just getting in from the health department here in Spartanburg. Had to go get my birth certificate. Charlie James: Yeah. Gerald: You know, we was in—we was in there 50 minutes or so, but I kept noticing about half the people were leaving that was staying. And the reason being, they couldn't take a darn card. Charlie James: What do you mean they couldn't take a card? Gerald: Their system—the system was down or something, but they was dealing only in cash. Charlie James: Oh, they couldn't take a card! Oh! Oh, wow. That's... [laughs] There you go. I appreciate it, Gerald. Yeah, I, you know, I've had that happen to me. All I got is my cards sometimes. Let's go to Chuck in Mills River. What's going on, Chuck? Chuck: I can tell you why that is, Gerald. I'll just tell you straight up. Probably half of them were Mexicans, they don't have a card, all they got's cash. I'm just—just saying. But I wanted to mention—you were talking about Fauci. Charlie James: Yeah. Chuck: We were talking about Fauci, and I thought that Senator Hawley did a spectacular job. But I think he made—he asked—well, two points. I think he made one mistake, but I think... He should have asked the question, "Dr.—are you a Nazi? Do you support fascism? Do you support..." going on in all the things that the Left hates. And if he had gone the Fifth Amendment, he'd be like, "Ah! You have something to hide." You could play that element all day long. But it was—it was a ridiculous thing, "What color's your tie?" And he couldn't—couldn't answer what color his tie was. Couldn't tell him what color the carpet was. But the thing that troubles me a little bit more than anything is... yeah, we all know what Fauci was pardoned for, right? Absolutely nothing. We don't know... Charlie James: We have no idea. No, no. Let me tell you what he was pardoned for. Any and everything. Chuck: Right. And here's the thing. And I think that Hawley may have—and, you know, there's smarter people than me out there—I think he may have stepped into a trap here because he said, "You have immunity." And I understand where he—what he was—where he was going with that. I understood what he meant with that because he was like, "No, you can't—you don't get to exert your Fifth Amendment privilege once you've been pardoned." Charlie James: It's either/or. Either you have—either you have immunity or you have your—your Fifth Amendment rights. Chuck: Right. But I mean, do you not—you see where I'm going with this, right? Charlie James: No, I do! And there's—there's actually precedent about that because for a pardon to be completed, the—the recipient has to agree to the pardon. He has to—he has to accept— he has to accept the pardon, and by pleading the Fifth, that is a de facto rejection of the pardon. Chuck: That's—that's absolutely spectacular, Charlie, 'cause we were talking about that with—with Hunter and his little, you know, crack addict stuff... being pardoned and stuff. But that's—I mean... that's—that's for the lawyers, apparently, to—to straighten out. But I did think that Josh Hawley absolutely did a capital job. And I'm not—I'm not sure if Kennedy's going to—I'm not sure if Senator Kennedy's going to... I don't know if he's on this count—on this committee or not, but Lord, I wouldn't want to be in Fauci's shoes if Kennedy gets a hold of him. I'm not sure... Charlie James: Yeah.
