Transcript Charlie James: All right, welcome back to the program! Glad to have you along with us. Early voting started in the Senate primary. Let's go to the phones with caller Tim in Easley. Yeah, Tim, how are you? Tim: Hey Charlie. Charlie James: Hey bud. Tim: I'm changing the—changing the subject just a little bit from the topic today, but uh, on your show and numerous other talk shows, we hear of how the universities are indoctrinating the kids, and I—I do think there's something that we can do about that. And in a number of uh states, including South Carolina, you can go to—people can go to class tuition-free if you're 60 and over. It'd take an organized effort to do that, but we could start attending some of these university classes to actually hear what's being said and maybe be a—a counterweight that could uh influence some of the kids in those classes. So, I just wanted to toss that out, but it would take an organized effort on your part or... Charlie James: Absolute—now wait a minute. So, did you say that you can attend class—you don't get credit for it though, right? Tim: No—no credit. I think you just audit—audit the class. But uh, it is state law. You can go tuition-free, I believe, if you're 60 and over. Charlie James: How about that? That's a good idea! Just get some of those older faces in there, some people that have actually lived what these people—and just check out what they're being taught. Tim: And—and you could hopefully influence some of the kids by—they get a different opinion than just what's being taught to them. Charlie James: Exactly right! That's a great idea, Tim. I appreciate it. Jeff is in Easley. Jeff, welcome. Jeff: How you doing, buddy? Charlie James: Man, I'm doing good. What's up? Jeff: Hey, uh, first of all, Tim Scott needs to go. I'm hearing that he's putting all this money behind Starling Graham. Is that true? Charlie James: From what I hear, yes. Yes, I did hear about that. But wait, wait, wait, wait! It gets even worse than that! I hear that he is not going to send money to Ken Paxton in Texas in his fight against Dade Phelan. Jeff: No! I heard that also! Charlie James: Yeah. Jeff: Matter of fact, I was on X. Yeah, I read that on X. Charlie James: No, and—and that's no rumor. I mean, the—the—the—the uh—the—the Senate PAC is actually donating to—to Starling Graham for whatever reason. Jeff: What—when is he up for—for uh election again? Charlie James: '28. '28. Jeff: Well, he needs to get gone. He needs to get gone like the 8th of next month! Charlie James: I—I agree, man! I agree. Uh, Jeff, I appreciate it. If you—if you want to know just the absolute poster child of a do-nothing senator, you look at Tim Scott. Where—oh, he'll pop his head up every now and then, but day in and day out, Tim Scott is a non-factor. Let's go to Jay in Easley. Jay, welcome. Jay: Yeah, hello Charlie. Charlie James: Yes sir. Jay: Hey, I just uh wanted to—because I didn't know this, I just went up to my normal early voting place, and they are not taking votes there. You have to go to the Republican branch uh office. And uh... Charlie James: What—what county? Jay: This is in Pickens County. So I went up to the Pickens-Easley Library, and they said, "Nope, we uh—you got to go to the Republican office to—to vote." Charlie James: Right. Jay: And I was followed by about uh five other people going and wandering around inside the library, just like me, wondering what the heck happened. Charlie James: All right, here's what I'm—well, I mean, like I said, before you leave the house and go vote, you need to check uh scVotes.gov. I appreciate it, thank you, Jay.
