H20000000000 ya baby!

from City to Gritty - A Homestead Journey · host City to Gritty

The springs we mentioned in the last episode are STILL RUNNING!  Thank goodness too, because we had brought all the things we needed to dam it up and start collecting - talk about blind confidence!  Armed with 100+ ft of PVC pipe and fittings, buckets, two 55 gal barrels, plastic, and shovels.  We put about 14 hours into engineering a gravity feed collection giving us about 100 gal in 14 hours.  Next we will need to figure out the most efficient and cost effective way to get the water out of the ravine and up to the homesite about 700 feet away... If any of our listeners have any tips for off grid water moving please email us [email protected]   See the entire gallery of journey so far on our blog at www.citytogritty.com and on our Instagram @citytogrittypodcast Thank you for all your love and support!
