Transcript Charlie James: All right, let's go to the phones. We're going to talk to Eugene in Pauline. How you doing, Eugene? Eugene: I'm doing good, Charlie. Charlie James: All right. Eugene: I want to call foul because I was watching the news a minute ago and they were talking about that outbreak on the produce. Everybody getting this explosive sickness. Charlie James: Yeah. Eugene: Well, yesterday they were getting down on the administration, Trump administration about it. And this lady was ranting. I mean, she was getting down, and I thought, "Man, that's weird." And then today, they show her another thing, and the lady's saying that they only inspect 1 to 2% of the food due to budget cuts. So I looked it up, and yes, it said they inspect 1 to 2%. Which that is a massive amount of stuff considering the tons that come in. Charlie James: Oh, yeah. Eugene: But I looked it up again and I said, "How long have they been doing that?" They have been doing 1 to 2% for decades! But they're trying to make out like it's Trump's fault. I believe this is some kind of hit job. Charlie James: Oh, absolutely! They try to blame Trump for everything. Forget about the illegal aliens just pooping in the fields on the lettuce, don't worry about that. I mean, it's Trump's fault obviously, right? Eugene: Who's to say it's not like COVID, they didn't put this on us, too? Charlie James: Yeah, maybe so! That would be even more cruel than COVID. I appreciate it. And, you know, like I said, because of this, I used the words "explosive diarrhea" for the first time in my radio career on the air. So, but there you go. They're always trying to blame Trump. Blame Trump for everything. Again, doing it for decades. Let's go to Pat with a FEMA update. Pat, welcome. Pat: No, it's Chuck, man. You there, Charlie? Charlie James: Yeah. John, why did you—never mind. Pat: I don't blame John. That's all right. It's all right, it's a busy day, man. Charlie James: Yeah, it is a busy day. It is a busy day. Pat: Yeah, it wasn't really a FEMA update. I was going to bitch about Cooper. You were talking about—but your last caller from Pauline there, he made a good point and, yeah, I was there the day you used—I heard you use "explosive diarrhea" the first time you ever used it. Charlie James: Yes, first time ever! I saved the tape of that show. It's going to go in the archives. Pat: To Richard in Dallas, you make all the moonshine you want and hand it out free. Hand it out for free, I'm up here in Mills River, I'll come down there and get it. Charlie James: That's the thing though, you can't. You can't. You cannot distill— Pat: I know, but hey, don't discourage—don't discourage Richard! It's not Crown, damn! Charlie James: I don't want somebody getting busted for, you know, something that I said. You cannot distill your own liquor at home. You can't. Pat: But I did want to—I'd go into a FEMA thing because, dude, we're—it's a big thing happened today up here at the Hawley household up here in Mills River. It's a really big thing. No guns were pulled or anything. But in the end, I did want to say about Roy Cooper, everybody's—you know, he's got—apparently the Democrats still have some money to spend because he's—dude, he's everywhere you look. But I would remind people, if the Democrats are so smart and the teachers' unions are all for the kids, I would remind everybody that Pat McCrory, when he—the Republican North Carolina governor—when came up election time, he was like, "No, we're going to give the teachers an 11% raise." Teachers' unions were all against it! All against him! "Oh, he's anti-teacher. Oh, he's—11% raise, my big old butt." So then when Roy Cooper gets in, he gives them a 9% raise. And they say, "Look, see! We told you what a great, great governor he's going to make! He gives us a 9% raise!" Apparently, there were no math teachers, or either the math teachers are stupid in North Carolina, because last time I checked, 11% is a good bit ...
