Habitat Management Works Best When You're All In!

from Land & Legacy - Habitat + Hunting · host Adam Keith

After a week of consulting in Oklahoma, Missouri, and Kansas the Land & Legacy team has some great insights to share from these farms. In addition, we discuss one of the principles of land management that Land & Legacy applies to every property, that is ecosystem mindset. To explain further, we aren't here to only apply half of the habitat management techniques that any given property should have. Each technique builds upon itself so that once the plan is in place the results should grow exponentially. Old field management has a different role than a wood lot that has been thinned and burned or a food plot edge that has been edge feathered. With all of these techniques in place, they support one another like an ecosystem. They all improve the property and not one is the sole reason for more success. When you start the improve the land, go ALL in! Think bigger and treat your property like an ecosystem for the most success!
