Is it only a matter of time until self-replicating hack-bots begin spreading across the net, systematically dismantling encrypted resources and security protocols globally? Given that infrastructure, transportation assets, supply-chain logistics, and even weapons systems are interconnected on the same net, can the bots be contained or corralled? Can their core programming limit their destructive influence? Can we prevent bad-actors (human or artificial) from launching bots with errant mission objectives?
