Hady Sy

In this episode, Zaven sits down with Hady Sy, a multicultural artist born in Beirut and raised between Lebanon, Senegal, and France. Having studied Communication Arts at LAU, Hady reflects on a rich and formative experience shaped by photography, theater, and inspiring mentors, despite the challenges of war that forced him to leave. At the core of his journey is a powerful message born from a self-portrait taken at the Gulbenkian Theater: “Get out of the box.” Today, his work explores humanity beyond numbers, challenging how we reduce lives to statistics in war and on social media, and reminding us of one simple truth: We are all the same inside.
