Dr Philip Smith, Associate and Social Media Editor of Frontline Gastroenterology and Consultant Gastroenterologist at the Royal Liverpool Hospital, UK, interviews Dr Nick Thompson, who is a Consultant Gastroenterologist in the Department of Gastroenterology, Newcastle Upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. Dr Thompson has helped develop Newcastle as a regional centre for parenteral nutrition support and the hospital was recently designated as one of the Integrated Intestinal Failure Centres in England.
