Hail Mary, Clock Glitch, and Big Ten Drama | Michigan Wolverines Football News

Michigan pulled off a jaw-dropping 13-12 win over Western Michigan in a game that exploded into controversy when officials added a second back to the clock, giving QB Bryce Underwood a Hail Mary shot at victory. The Big Ten backed their call with video showing Western Michigan’s 18 stepped out of bounds before touching the ball — contradicting what fans saw live and on NBC. Even after NBC’s John Fanta affirmed the Big Ten’s authority as official timekeepers, the split-second discrepancy continues to fuel debate. This nail-biting finish proves how one call can rewrite history — and why this game will be replayed for months to come.
