He and his friends started taking turns one after the other but still couldn't be successful even after multiple tries, until a local child came and explained to them the right technique. They were supposed to keeping on pumping until the water came up, and not stop anywhere in between or change turns. Ashdin compare this with habits. Once we start with our habits, we don't instantly see results and leave the habit mid-way.
