Halifax Regional Municipality Councillor Laura White provides an update on Halifax city matters.  As the newly elected Premier makes changes that increase Provincial power, what is the relationship between Municipal and Provincial elected officials concerning transportation issues?UPDATE TO SHOW NOTES from Laura February 24, 2025:I was wrong about the 30% design stage – we have a “functional design” with preliminary Class D construction estimates for the dollar values (for WSE). It is unclear to me how detailed these designs are, but the current contract is a design/build, which means that the design was not complete enough for a design/bid/build process to take place, due to time constraints.
