from Play Ball Kid Baseball Development Podcast · host Bryan Eisenberg, Sammy Eisenberg

Casey Fisk is the owner of Fisk Performance Training in Michigan. Casey played 1B, pitched, and caught at Illinois State University. He coached 10 years of High School baseball & 12 years of travel baseball. Casey played four seasons at NCAA DI Illinois State in the Missouri Valley Conference. During his time at ISU, Fisk was named to the MVC All-Tournament Team as a senior as he led the Redbirds to the league title and a berth in the regional tournament played that year at Oklahoma State University. He went on to play two years of professional ball in the Independent League in Champaign and Lafayette. He launched Fisk Performance Training in 2000 to train athletes to meet & exceed the physical demands of the next levels of competition.   Perhaps his greatest accomplishment is being in the dugout for every single one of his three daughters' games.  Casey's dad is Hall of Fame catcher Carlton Fisk. Sammy and Casey discuss: What Casey learned from his Baseball Hall of Fame dad, Carlton Fisk, that he is teaching his kids. How Carlton Fisk's almost career injury help direct Casey life direction. The importance of being prepared to compete at the next level.  Understanding Carlton Fisk's durability and longevity and how it can help your career. The importance of preparing in the weight room. Why Casey loves Bulgarian Split Squats (you may not though) Insights into what Casey tells his hitters about pitchers and pitchers about hitters to build their confidence.  How hitters need to take advantage of fastball counts. You should follow Casey on Twitter.
