Hallelujah Anyhow (Matt 21.1-11) - 4-10-22

from Messages from the Word of God · host Nwankwo via Apogee

Scripture Texts are Psalm 118.21-29 and Matthew 21.1-11. The Subject is “Hallelujah Anyhow!”Palm Sunday. The Triumphal Entry. Jesus’ triumphal entry was about a spiritual kingdom not an earthly kingdom. It was about peace on earth, not a war to conquer nations. It was about a show of humility not pomp and circumstances for self-aggrandizement. The people saw the King of the Jews entering the city. They got their praise on! But what if King Jesus did not meet their expectations? Well, be like Job who said, “Though He slay me, yet will I trust Him!” In other words, God knows what is best, so, Hallelujah anyhow!1.Approach! Jesus gives specific instructions to those who are close to Him. (vv1-3)2.Obey! Our blessings are in our obedience and praise. (vv4-9)3.Share! Jesus expects us to tell others who He is. (vv10-11)The more we approach, obey, and share Jesus, the more we will say “Hallelujah anyhow” no matter the circumstances. When I do not get what I want, will I still say, “Hallelujah anyhow?” I want to encourage you to praise the LORD regardless of your troubles, regardless of your situation, regardless of how you feel. God knows what is best and He wants the best for you. So, praise Him! Approach Him! Obey Him! Share Him! And live a life of praise! Let this be our motto going forward. No matter what… “Hallelujah anyhow!” Amen!
