One of the leaders of a humanitarian organization distributing food and resources in the war-torn Gaza Strip recently revealed some surprising details surrounding what he believes has hindered efforts. Johnnie Moore, the executive chairman of the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF), believes one of the biggest barriers to getting aid to Gaza is the current assistance system and structure. "I think the biggest barrier to getting aid to Gaza is a corrupt old system that has enabled the continuation of this war, that's enabled Hamas to steal the aid, to sell it to the Gazan people, to hoard the aid for their own fighters," he said.
