Hamish Rutherford: Wellington Business Editor Reaction to Commerce Commission report on Supermarket Sector

The Commerce Commission has released its final report into our supermarket sector -- stating competition isn't working well. It recommends freeing up land for supermarket development, a mandatory code of conduct for suppliers and the major operators offering wholesale supply on a voluntary basis. NZ Herald Wellington business editor Hamish Rutherford says told Nick Mills we shouldn't underestimate this. He says they're still meaningful changes, but will be seen over time and not in the short term. The Government will now review and consider the recommendations. LISTEN ABOVESee omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
