Hampton Pirates Top A&T Aggies in HBCU Rivalry

Hampton University secured a victory over North Carolina A&T in a Coastal Athletic Association basketball game, improving their record to 9-10 and 3-3 in conference play. The Pirates win marked their third consecutive victory over their longtime HBCU rival, while A&T suffered their sixth straight loss and dropped to 7-10 overall and 0-6 in the league. Despite A&Ts strong start, Hampton took the lead in the first half and maintained it throughout the game. Jalyke Gaines-Wyatt led Hampton with 24 points, while Dwayne Pierce, Trent Middleton, and Zamoku Weluche-Ume contributed to A&Ts scoring. A&T coach Monté Ross plans to review the game tape after a mysterious collapse on offense and defense. The Aggies will host Hofstra on Thursday and Towson on Saturday, aiming to end their losing streak at home. Support the show: Get a discount at https://solipillow.com/discount/dnn.
