Han Oak Chef Peter Cho on opening his new restaurant, Toki, mid-pandemic

from John Notarianni's Feed · host John Notarianni

Peter Cho is one of Portland’s most acclaimed chefs. His modern Korean restaurant Han Oak (that he co-owns with his partner Sun Young Park) was named restaurant of the year by both Portland Monthly and the Oregonian in 2017. But this is a brutally hard time for restauranteurs to make ends meet. Han Oak is still closed because of the pandemic—he hopes to reopen outdoor dining sometime this month—but Cho is pushing ahead into new territory. He just opened his second restaurant, Toki, in downtown Portland. It remixes some of the classics from Han Oak and adds a few new dishes to the menu.
