Handfuls o' Jake Guts (Book 16)

The gang breaks into an office building and puts on a little show for the employees. Jake nearly dies and then has a totally normal dinner with his totally normal family. In this book, Jake is the leader of the Animorphs, but he’s also pretending to be a leader, as well as a son and a brother. In a different way, Tom is Jake’s brother, but he’s also a Yeerk pretending to be his brother. What is this book (and the series generally) trying to tell us about performance??Better question,  why does no one send telegrams any more? Has anyone ever seen a fly on an airplane? If the Animorphs acquire human morphs without consent, is that as bad as what the Yeerks are doing by infesting humans?
