H&J 153 - A New Vargas Rule

from Pitcher List Fantasy Baseball Hosted by Brett Ford, Scott Chu

This week on Hacks & Jacks, Scott and Brett talk through news and notes from around the league, hitters who have climbed Scott's ranks and those who have fallen in the list as well. Remember the Vargas Rule of yesteryear? "It’s a rule that’s applied when a pitcher who is historically not so great is performing at a high level we didn’t expect. You keep starting him until he gives us a reason not to, inspired by Jason Vargas‘ ridiculous start to the 2017 season." Welp, now it applies to hitters, and it's named after Miguel Vargas. He's climbed his way to being a top-20 hitter in Scott's ranks, and he hasn't given us a reason NOT to leave him there. Scott talks about NL Central sluggers Alec Burleson and Seiya Suzuki and touches on one of the trending rookie bats in Colorado – do we stream Cole Carrigg? On the flip side, the pair laments their disappointment in big-name middle infielders, Trea Turner and Nico Hoerner. All that and more in this episode of Hacks & Jacks!
