Hands-On Hustle: Building a Mortgage Brokerage by Getting Your Hands Dirty I have 25 years industry experience; with positions ranging from Senior Mandated Mortgage Underwriter, assisting the launch of a new Mortgage Lender, Business Development roles and Arrears Counselling roles. Now through self-development and hard work and working my way up and generally working within all departments within various Mortgage Lenders. I held a lending mandate of £1m. I have become a qualified Mortgage and Protection Adviser in 2013 and previously managing 5 successful Estate Agents at MAB. In 2017, I joined Mortgage Xperts (Liverpool) and launched their Yorkshire branch and this firm were Directly Authorised. The Money Group were at their infancy and were launching direct brands Nationwide and was provided with an opportunity to launch a brand. We were the 4th Brand to launch in January 2019. We were an appointed AR of South Yorkshire Money initially and we became Directly Authorised in October 2019.
